New Year's Resolution!

Idea!  *light bulb over head*  I should challenge myself artistically as my New Year's Resolution!  And what better way than 365 Days of Men?!  =D!!  I'm so genius!

Concept:  Spend about 15-30 minutes daily on quick doodles of my favorite male characters.  I do have a lot.  D:  I could easily reach 200 without duplicates ... LOL!  =X!!!  Leon and Kamina and Sechs!  Oh, my!

Will I actually go through with it?!  We'll see!  I think it'd be a great way to warm up before focusing on my comics.

Sooo much, especially if you invest in the EX version. There are built in perspective rulers (both 1, 2, and 3 point), thousands of screentones, the ability to rotate the canvas 360 degrees without expanding the canvas (like how Photoshop will do), built in speech balloons (and you can even create your own), symmetry rulers, radial lines ruler (focal points, if you will) ... Lots and lots of benefits dedicated to comic making!

One of my favorite features is being able to link multiple pages together in a "story" file so you can link an entire chapter (or more!) together in one file.

Is that so? Wow and you use a tablet? I've been using CS4 this whole time with just only a Mouse. If it can make time easier I'm willing to cough up cash to get that program. I hate making my own screentones and it just takes so much of my time. What does it usually run and is this available to purchase online?

Yep! And yep! You can get a decent Wacom tablet for around $70 or less if you search around Best Buy or Amazon.com. The Graphire series is what I've been using for over 5 years now.

I was using Photoshop CS3 to do all of my artwork prior to nabbing a copy of Manga Studio EX 4. The difference is HUGE. I love working in Manga Studio so much more! Photoshop just felt so limited with making comics. =\

Well, the cheapest I've seen Manga Studio EX 4 is for about $227 on Amazon.com. I believe it retails at $300. There's another version [Debut] that is only $50, but it's missing the perspective rulers and tons of screentones that make EX worth the extra money.
